Understanding FurryTeaParty Event Rules through Comics

Comic artists are invited each year to enrich the content of the FurryTeaParty programme book with more than just blocks of text. Through comic illustrations, participants can engage with the event rules in a more entertaining and memorable way.

The comic content from each year is revealed the following year, after the event. This tradition began with the FurryTeaParty in 2019. Website comics were added from the 2024 edition onwards.

Page 1 [Exterior of the Kaohsiung Main Public Library.] Caption: Kaohsiung Main Public Library [Cora (a rabbit in adventurer gear) and Ata (a character with gem-like forehead markings) leap out excitedly, with Vic (in a wizard's hat, holding a staff topped with a bat-shaped lamp) behind them.] Cora: "Wow... Is this the event venue~?" (a companion): "Cool! Can't wait to enter!" [Notice board] Attention! It is strictly forbidden to line up before 9:00 a.m. [Vic hands registration papers to a staff member.] Staff: "Please present your registration information." "Sponsor and above may enter with priority." [Notice board] Attention! Sponsor and above are allowed to enter with priority entry. Please present your IDs if asked by our staffs. [Cora hugs her luggage bag tightly.] (a companion, off-panel): "Do you have everything with you?" Cora: "Absolutely! Looking after it dearly!" [Notice board] Attention! Please keep your valuables (such as smart phone, wallet, camera etc.) in your own possession. Page 2 [Cora bounds ahead happily with a musical note; Vic, startled, reaches out to stop her.] Cora: "We're all set! Let's go!" Vic: "Wait...! You can't run here!" [Notice board] Attention! Hazardous activities (such as running within the venue or bringing dangerous items into the venue) are strictly prohibited. [Vic and Ata look down, puzzled.] "?" [Close-up: a hand picks something up off the ground.] "A staff?" [Ata hands Vic the wand he picked up. Vic looks confused.] Ata: "Hey Vic, you dropped your staff!" Vic: "Huh...? That's not my staff." [Notice board] Attention! Please deliver lost items to the reception desk. [Cora, holding the staff, puzzled—then BANG, she collides with someone, her eyes spinning dizzily.] Cora: "Hmm... Wonder who dropped their staff here, maybe I should take it to the reception..." Page 3 [Ata, wearing goggles, grins while holding a toy gun. Cora and Vic sweat nervously nearby, "..."] Ata: "Thank you for delivering it to us." "And you should stop eating sweets over there :D" [Notice board] Warning! Eating & drinking, smoking, alcohol consuming and betel nut chewing are prohibited inside the venue. [A fluffy character is caught, startled, trying to hide something behind their back.] "Sorry~" (label pointing at the hidden item): "Sweets" [Ata asks about everyone's gear; the group throws up their hands in surprise.] Ata: "By the way, nice equipments you all have there, but does it fit within the regulation?" (the group): "Yes it does!" [Notice board] Warning! Props that resembling guns, have sharp edges, or length over 100cm are strictly prohibited indoor. [Ata checks on Vic with concern.] Ata: "Well, you're shot earlier... are you fine?" Vic: "Hehehe, I'm fine." "But I'm a little surprised so I'm gonna take a break." [Notice board] Attention! If you are feeling unwell, please notify the nearest staff member as soon as possible. Page 4 [Notice board] Attention! Furry Café is time limited, please follow staffs' instruction to enter. [Ata and Cora talk.] Ata: "We still have time, let's find the others." [In the distance, Nomu and Reim appear; a hand waves eagerly.] "Cora, Art, Vic!" [Reim raises her paws excitedly; Nomu smiles beside her.] Reim: "You all look great in your costumes." Nomu: "Meow, it's true, they all look marvelous!" [The five friends gather, complimenting each other.] (Cora's group): "You two's costume looks really cool too!" (Nomu/Reim): "Thanks meow!"
